Concierge Ambassador/Part Time Posted Aug 28th

International Plaza and Bay Street is currently seeking part time Concierge Ambassadors to handle guest inquiries within the shopping center's Concierge Department. The primary goal of the position is to ensure that all guests visiting International Plaza and Bay Street receive a high level of quality service that is expected from a top tier center. The ideal applicant will possess a thorough knowledge of Tampa and the surrounding areas, as well as upcoming events, and will be able to handle all guest inquiries. Ideally seeking bilingual Concierge Ambassadors.

Responsibilities:

  • Interact with and provide directional information to guests
  • Greet customers in a friendly manner 
  • Answer inbound calls to the Concierge Desk 
  • Provide information about stores within the shopping center including product information 
  • Provide information concerning mall events and activities 
  • Process gift card and Ticketmaster transactions and promote the programs in order to exceed shopping center's goals 
  • Assist guests with various ancillary purchases 
  • Provide information regarding local attractions, transportation and dining 
  • Arrange transportation and restaurant reservations 
  • Assist with internal mall marketing promotions 
  • Troubleshoot and diffuse guest issues 
  • Participate in training and education programs 
  • Provide Concierge Manager with observations, guest comments, and recommendations 
  • Inventory control 
  • Continually exceed guest expectations

Qualifications:

Concierge Ambassadors must be available for a variety of shifts, including a mix of days, nights, and weekends. This position is for a candidate who possess open availability up to 20 hours a week. Compensation for the part time Concierge Ambassador positions is $10.00/hour.

Concierge Manager/Full Time Posted Jul 9th

International Plaza and Bay Street is currently seeking a full time Concierge Manager to oversee the shopping center’s Concierge department. The primary goal of the position is to ensure that all guests receive a high level of quality service that is expected from a top tier shopping center. The Concierge Manager will direct the day-to-day activities and development of 6-8 concierge personnel.  The ideal applicant will possess a thorough knowledge of Tampa and the surrounding areas, as well as upcoming events and will be able to handle all guest inquiries. Applicants must have 3-5 years of management experience. Concierge or similar experience preferred.

Responsibilities:

Communication

  • Communicate effectively with mall management, tenants, and guests
  • Establish a strong rapport with retailers and distribute information as necessary
  • Act as a liaison between guests and mall management
  • Attend all mall management team meetings
  • Maintain awareness of issues pertinent to center and report as necessary
  • Interview and hire staff
  • Provide new employee training, as well as continued employee team training and evaluation
  • Prepare staff meetings and provide minutes to supervisor and mall management staff
  • Establish shifts and create a weekly work schedule for staff, making accommodations when necessary
  • Resolve issues and administer discipline as needed
  • Evaluate employees to improve performance
  • Set team and individual performance goals
  • Set goals for Concierge Team and monitor and report results
  • Promote and monitor operating policies
  • Trouble shoot customer issues
  • Drive customer service team to achieve a high level of customer service

Team Leadership

The Concierge Manager must be available for a variety of shifts, including a mix of days, nights, and weekends. This position offers a salary of $18.00/hour, as well as a benefits package including paid time off, and major medical insurance.
